Account Executive

WRL Advertising is looking for an experienced, bright + enthusiastic Account Executive. This full-time position is for an individual with strong communication and organizational skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, preferably with agency experience, who is a self-starter and is excited by the prospect of working in a creative, fast-paced advertising agency environment. It’s a base salary plus commission.


Primary Objectives:

  • Cultivating new business
  • Service existing customers
  • Plan and implement scheduled sales and marketing strategies
  • Assist customers in planning and coordinating projects
  • Generate sales leads through industry networking, online research and company prospect database
  • Maintain regular contact with account base, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Represent our organization within the community


Detailed Responsibilities Include:

  • Contacting prospective leads, setting up new business meetings and closing accounts
  • Meeting new clients and determining client marketing/advertising needs by utilizing product, service knowledge, marketing research, media capabilities, and audience characteristics
  • Knowledge of agency services and how they apply to clients
  • Create estimates by working with sales team, artists, writers, video team and web developers to estimate costs, as well as outside vendors if needed
  • Guide creative production by coordinating market research, writing, art layout, web development and media elements as needed
  • Implement advertising campaigns by negotiating with media outlets
  • Evaluate, adjust and redirect advertising campaigns by studying and analyzing sales results, demographics, surveys, and other market research information
  • Manage accounts with short term effectiveness and long-term growth plans


Position Standards:

  • Three to five years in marketing, advertising, media, sales or communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or related business field
  • Knowledge of Advertising Agency capabilities
  • Cold calling and prospecting ability
  • Good written and verbal communication, sales presentation and closing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in web and multimedia project management a plus
