Expanding Communications Team

The WRL Communications Team Welcomes Two New Members and a Promotion

WRL’s Director of Digital Communications, Olivia Huntley, has been expanding her Communications team and service offerings to better serve our clients. WRL is excited to announce the addition of two members to the Communications team, as well as an internal promotion.

Jessica Trambley – previously WRL’s Communications Specialist – has been promoted to Associate Director of Digital Communications. In her new role, Trambley will provide additional strategic direction and leadership to the communications team. She will be responsible for developing and executing digital communications plans, managing social media channels, copywriting, content creation and more.

“Jess has been instrumental to the growth of our department,” said Huntley. “Since she joined us, she has hit the ground running, expanding her marketing knowledge and expertise to become an all-around social thought leader in her own right. Jess’ strong work ethic, teamwork and push for constant innovation into new service offerings are unparalleled. We’re proud of all that she’s accomplished and very excited to have her on our team for years to come.”

In addition to Trambley’s promotion, we are delighted to announce the hiring of two new team members, Diana Mejia and MeKenzie Law. Both Mejia and Law will be working as Communication Specialists.

Mejia comes to us from Miami University where she majored in Marketing and minored in Fashion. Her responsibilities include social media content creation and planning, market research, public relations and more. Mejia’s diverse experience includes a marketing internship at Area Wide Protective, working on social media for a startup clothing company and a social-media internship for an international athleisure brand in the UK.

“I’m excited to join WRL because of how welcoming and hardworking everyone is,” said Mejia. “I feel like I will be able to grow and learn more about myself and the marketing industry with the help of everyone in the office. I’m looking forward to writing and pushing myself in new creative ways.”

MeKenzie Law, a recent grad of Kent State University, comes to us with a major in Marketing and a minor in Computer Information Systems. Her responsibilities include social media management, content creation, statistical reporting and more.

“Everyone at WRL Advertising is very nice and also intelligent in their fields,” said Law. “I am excited to be a part of this team and to advance my skills in the marketing field.”

To get to know our new members better, we asked them a few questions. Check their answers out below.

Q: Why did you get into this field?
Diana: At the Farmer’s School of Business I got a well-rounded experience with business analytics, managerial accounting, business writing, market research, etc. From that experience, I realized I like the people aspect of business and learning about who your target market truly is outside of the numbers, what attracts them and how you can get them excited about your product/business.
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Diana: Teleportation
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone present or past, who would it be?
Diana: Princess Diana. She’s an inspiration and I think I could learn a lot from her. I admire her values.
Q: Do you have any pets?
Diana: Rosie, a long hair dachshund and Juno, a white and black cat!
Q: What are some of your favorite TV shows?
Diana: Bojack Horseman, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec and Criminal Minds
Q: What is an interesting fact about yourself?
Diana: I am an ENFJ personality type and Chaotic Neutral

MeKenzie LawQ: Why did you get into this field?
MeKenzie: When I previously worked at Ulta Beauty, I used to do ad sets and planograms for the layout of the store and products. At the bottom of every planogram, it named those who marketed them. This initially gave me the idea that I wanted to continue my education in Marketing. During my Senior year at Kent State, I took a Social Media Marketing course. My professor, Cheryl-lyn Ngoh, was very inspiring and led me onto this path, which I think helped me out tremendously!
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
MeKenzie: My ideal superpower would be teleportation. I assume this would provide instantaneous travel, which means no more flights that take hours to reach a destination!
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone present or past, who would it be?
MeKenzie: Jesus, because I have so many questions
Q: Do you have any pets?
MeKenzie: A chocolate long-haired dachshund, her name is Paisley!
Q: What are some of your favorite TV shows?
MeKenzie: Forensic Files, What We Do in the Shadows, Doctor Who, Futurama, Seinfeld, One Punch, Downton Abbey
Q: What is an interesting fact about yourself?
MeKenzie: In 2011, I placed 1st in Arizona for a Cosmetology competition with SkillsUSA
